 Most children love eating fast food .This includes food such as burgers, pizzas, hotdogs and fish and chips. Although such food is tasty, but it does not provide us with enough vitamins ,nutrients and the calories that our bodies need .This food is not healthy as it usually contains a lot of fat .Eating fast food often results in weight again . Most children often eat hamburgers topped with a lot of mayonnaise , chips and soda.

In order to stay healthy, it is important to have a balanced diet– in other words, food that contains something from each of the five main groups of food. These groups are protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins and minerals and starchy food.


Protein is very important for building our body. It helps us to build new cells as old ones die. Meat and dairy products are major sources of protein, but not the only one– we can also get protein from fish , eggs and beans.

Carbohydrates and fat are important to enable us to store energy-they pro- vide fuel for the body. Carbohydrates are found in sug

Our body also needs minerals, such as iron and calcium and vitamins. Fish, vegeta- bles and milk contain most of the minerals we need. Vitamins are found in fresh vegetables and fruits.
